The Weekly Loop

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
— Will Durant
The Weekly Loop

The loop is simple. Friday forces the work into the open. Everyone demos. The weekend walks and Monday reset give the cohort time to argue, rethink, and pick a direction. Tuesday through Thursday are for building the next thing.

The same loop repeats every week. That matters. Nobody waits around. People ship, get feedback, and go again.

“Every habit and faculty is preserved and increased by correspondent actions, as the habit of walking, by walking; of running, by running.”
— Epictetus

Monday Mornings

“Reset the Week”
— Get everyone on the same page for the week ahead.

Monday morning starts with the weekly captain. The cohort sets the theme, sorts out logistics, and decides what needs to happen before Friday.

Tuesday Talks

“Put Ideas in the Room”
— Expose ideas to the cohort early, while they can still change.

Tuesday is for talks. Some are technical. Some are philosophical. The point is to put ideas in front of other smart people and see what survives.

Wednesday Workshops

“Learn by Doing”
— Transfer useful skills fast enough to use them the same week.

Wednesday is practical. People teach the tools they know, then everyone goes back to building with them.

Thursday: Build Day

“Build Without Meetings”
— Protect uninterrupted time for implementation.

Thursday has no formal agenda. People code, pair, fix bugs, test rough edges, and get something ready to demo.

Friday: Demo Day

“Show What Runs”
— Force the work into the open every week.

Friday is Demo Day. Everyone gets six minutes to show what they built and two minutes for discussion. After that, people eat, talk, and keep going.

Weekend Walks

“Walk and Talk”
— Give people time to think, recover, and talk without a screen in front of them.

The walks matter. People mix naturally, conversations get longer, and half-formed ideas get tested before they harden into plans.
